The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont is located in the northeastern corner of the state. It is bounded by the Canadian province of Quebec to the north and east, and the state of New Hampshire to the east. The Kingdom as it's known locally, is characterized by its rural landscape, rolling hills, and scenic valleys. Popular attractions in the Northeast Kingdom include the Darling State Park, the Alburgh Dunes State Park, and the Lake Willoughby Scenic Byway. The region is also known for its maple syrup production, dairy farming, and outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and skiing.
