Mount Mansfield is Vermont’s highest peak at 4,395' above sea level. It is one of three spots in Vermont where rare alpine tundra survives from the Ice Age. Mount Mansfield has some of the best and most popular hiking and skiing trails in the state. The famed Stowe Mountain Resort is located on its eastern slope and Smugglers Notch Ski area on the western.
