Lake Memphremagog

Lake Memphremagog is a glacial lake located between Newport, Vermont, United States, and Magog, Quebec, Canada. The lake spans both Quebec and Vermont but is mostly in Quebec.

The name Memphremagog comes from the Algonquian word, Memrahabegek, meaning “where there is a big expanse of water.”
